My grandmother's gums are in very bad condition, so I went to get a consultation about dentures. Since she is elderly, the out-of-pocket cost won't be too high after receiving government subsidies, so I went to get a check-up as well. I had been putting it off because it was a bit of a burden to have all her teeth extracted, but lately, she has been in so much pain that she can barely eat. For now, I just got some gum treatment done as an emergency measure. They said the extractions would take about three days, and it would be best to wait about two months for them to heal before getting full dentures for both upper and lower teeth. My grandmother is quite a scaredy-cat, so she was hesitant but said she would come back later. It seems like they don't offer general anesthesia here.
