Perhaps due to the school enrollment season and the change in environment, my first-grade daughter suddenly developed a high fever, body aches, and a cough, so we visited the pediatrician. I was very worried as her fever fluctuated throughout the night, but I was glad that we were able to see a doctor relatively quickly after registering. In the examination room, the head doctor calmly examined my child's condition and thoroughly checked her throat, ears, and breathing. Suspecting the flu, they conducted a rapid influenza test, and after the result came back positive, they immediately set the course of treatment.
Since I was told that early intervention is crucial, I was prescribed antiviral medication along with fever reducers and cough relief medicine. We also underwent nebulizer inhalation therapy at the hospital, and the nurse soothed my child well so they wouldn't be distressed, allowing us to receive the treatment comfortably. Most importantly, the director explained every single concern I had as a parent, which put my mind at ease.
What I liked about this hospital was that they explained things at a level the child could understand and provided detailed management instructions to the guardian. They thoroughly guided us on how to manage the fever at home, hydration, and isolation precautions, which was very helpful. The fever gradually dropped a day or two after treatment began, and the child's condition improved significantly after about 3 to 4 days.
