Review of cherry angioma removal procedure at Maypure Hwajeong Branch in Gyeonggi
The reason I first went to the hospital
I had a cherry angioma on my finger. It's also known as a red spot.
Red spots are usually present at birth or develop with age, but the spot on my finger appeared after I became an adult.
Since there was only one red dot, I didn't pay much attention to it at first.
It wasn't a face, but a finger, and since it was small, I just left it alone.
Then, I went to a dermatologist to have a skin tag removed, and since I heard that hemangiomas can also be removed using the same equipment as the laser used for skin tag removal, I ended up getting a consultation for a finger hemangioma as well.
Things I was worried about or reasons I hesitated before the visit
Actually, at first, since it was just a small mole on my finger, I wondered if I really needed to remove it.
It wasn't very uncomfortable, and the spot didn't get bigger or hurt.
The reason I decided on the procedure
However! Since it is a dot on the front of the finger rather than the palm, it catches the eye immediately.
I've developed a habit of constantly touching that mole... haha
The dermatologist also explained that since the hemangioma wasn't large, it wouldn't be painful and the procedure would be simple.
Since I came to get my skin tags removed anyway, I decided to get my hemangioma removed as well.
Hospital atmosphere
The place I visited was Maypure Clinic Hwajeong Branch.
It hasn't been long since it opened, so the interior is relatively clean.
They provide medical services until late in the evening, so it was convenient to visit after work.
Also, since Maypure is a franchise dermatology clinic focused on procedures, I liked that the price list for each treatment was well organized. The prices are cheaper than other places, but the downside is that you have to wash your face yourself.
Other than that, I felt that the manual was well organized, and the staff were all kind.
Personally, what I liked was that there was a private locker room!
Usually, when I go to a hospital, I always wonder where to leave my bag, but it was nice that there was a locker room here so I could conveniently store my belongings.
Procedure process, sensation
The teacher said it might hurt a little, but it didn't really hurt me.
My mole is small, so they just shot the laser once and that was it.
It felt like a slightly cold wind.
Shoot the laser once, disinfect with an alcohol swab, and that's it!
Post-procedure progress
A scab formed the very next day after the procedure.
The scab fell off naturally over time, and
After the scab fell off, red flesh was visible, and then new skin slowly grew.
But actually, the spot didn't disappear right away, and even after a few weeks, it remained a bit like discoloration.
I was wondering if I needed to get the laser treatment one more time, so I went for another consultation,
They said that it has faded enough to warrant additional procedures and suggested we wait a little longer.
And just as the director said, it really did fade after I waited a little longer haha.
I actually trusted them even more because they didn't recommend any further procedures!!
Revisit, satisfaction, and willingness to revisit
Now, the hemangioma and discoloration have completely disappeared, and there is just a slight mark left where the mole was removed.
Just as a slight trace remains after removing a black mole, a red mole also leaves a slight trace.
Since the spot was so vividly red, I'm not too bothered by it now.
I am satisfied because it came out cleanly without any side effects, and I felt comfortable because they didn't recommend excessive procedures.
I plan to visit again if I need skin treatments or laser treatments in the future!
