I wanted to get an additional checkup in addition to my National Health Insurance Service health checkup, so I looked for a hospital online and found this one. I went two weeks in advance for a consultation and picked up the colonoscopy preparation kit, and scheduled an appointment for Sunday morning after the public holiday. I needed to rest on Saturday to complete the bowel cleansing. Sundays are fine, but I was told that it is impossible on public holidays because the tests are not transferred to partner companies. I paid an extra fee to receive the bowel cleansing kit in pill form. It is much easier to take; there is none of the greasy or unpleasant sensation associated with liquid medication.
The consultation before the examination was conducted with a female doctor, and the consultation after the examination was conducted with a male doctor.
The recovery room was clean, and since appointments weren't scheduled in a rush, I was able to have the check-up in a relaxed and comfortable manner. Judging by the fact that I didn't feel very unwell even after the anesthesia wore off after the endoscopy, it seems the procedure was performed carefully and well. My recovery was quick, and the explanation after the examination was detailed. The staff were also kind.
