My son is starting to get his malocclusion corrected at Hanlim Dental Clinic in Ansan.

I went to the dentist because my sixth-grade son had a malocclusion. I was concerned because his front teeth didn't meet when he smiled, and his lower jaw seemed to protrude slightly. Since he's still growing, I thought it was important to address it now, so I had a consultation. The dentist first took a panoramic X-ray and an intraoral scan, and then explained in detail the direction of jaw growth and the alignment of his teeth. He emphasized that it wasn't just about the bite, but also about controlling jaw growth.
Treatment was a step-by-step plan, initially using functional orthodontic devices for growth phases to guide jaw position, then moving on to fixed orthodontic devices. I was worried because my child was very scared, but the team calmly explained the process of fitting the device and spoke to him at his level, which put me at ease. There was some pressure and pain for the first few days, but it was tolerable, and after about a week, he adapted.
I liked that they tailored their plan to my child's growth rate, rather than just hastily implementing a quick fix. They even showed me before-and-after photos and the expected progression of the treatment, which gave me confidence. I've been wearing the braces for about a month now, and I'm very satisfied with the gradual improvement in my bite.
