Siheung City Wonsan Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic Shares Experience with First Postpartum Checkup

This was my first regular checkup after giving birth, so I was a little nervous when I went to the OB/GYN. The clean flow from check-in to waiting put my mind at ease, and most importantly, I was pleased with the ample consultation time. They didn't just give me a physical exam; they calmly explained my overall postpartum condition, whether my recovery was normal, and what kind of care I needed going forward.
After giving birth, I was concerned about pelvic numbness, vaginal dryness, and changes in my menstrual cycle. Based on a questionnaire, the doctor checked everything thoroughly and performed a physical exam and ultrasound. The doctor explained the state of uterine contractions and recovery while watching the ultrasound, which made it easy to understand. I also trusted the doctor's lack of unnecessary testing or treatment. Afterward, I underwent a simple vaginal ultrasound and Pap smear, which I experienced minimal discomfort. The doctor also asked about my condition before and after the exam, which reassured me.
What I liked about this hospital compared to others was that they treated me based on the premise that my body was still recovering after giving birth. They didn't just dismiss everything as normal, but they also didn't overly worry me, which helped me feel more at ease. They provided meticulous guidance on postpartum recovery exercises, lifestyle habits, and even medications while breastfeeding, which was incredibly helpful.
