Suwon City Yonsei Eye Clinic: Is fear the common emotion when it comes to eye treatment?

I've had something inside my eye for the past two months. It hurt so much;; I had to put in eye drops every two hours, but on the day I actually got treatment, it hurt even when I didn't put in the drops, but it hurt more when I did..ㅠ It's to the point where I don't want to go to the ophthalmologist again for something like this. They prescribed an appropriate prescription and gave me an explanation, but I didn't hear in detail what kind of treatment was done exactly, why it happened, etc. It might have been because it hurt so much that I forgot. All I remember is that it was a clump of oil, but I have no idea what that meant. And since I received the examination and treatment in a place that was so open to everyone, I think my fear doubled.
