Choosing the right breakfast foods can boost your energy, focus, and productivity, helping you start your day off right. However, poor choices can lead to fatigue and exhaustion before lunchtime. Based on data from HealthNature, a US health media outlet, we present 13 breakfast foods you should avoid.

Cereals with a lot of sugar = Cereals are known to be high in sugar. Even cereals advertised as healthy are often high in sugar. While these cereals may provide a temporary boost of energy, they quickly leave you feeling hungry. It's best to choose whole-grain cereals or those without added sugar.

 

Pancakes and waffles = Pancakes and waffles are mostly made with sugar-sweetened flour and often topped with syrup or bacon, making them high in calories and sugar. They're especially high in white flour, which is virtually devoid of nutrients. Unless it's a special occasion, they're best avoided for breakfast.

Bagel= Bagels are typically made with white flour and are low in nutrients. They're often topped with butter, cream cheese, and other toppings. These days, even bagel sandwiches are popular, often topped with high-fat, high-salt ingredients like processed meats. Bagels themselves are a carbohydrate bomb, so if you must choose one, opt for protein-rich options like low-fat cream cheese or salmon.

 

Muffins and pastries = Muffins, commonly found in cafes, are made with sugar and flour, making them unsuitable for breakfast. While they're fine for an occasional snack, if you're concerned about nutrition, muffins with fruit or nuts are a better choice.

 

Fruit juice = Fruit juices are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which can be beneficial for your health. However, they are also high in sugar, so caution is advised.     사람따라 달라요. 위장 약한 사람은 공복 과일 피해야 할 듯.
