"You're getting really old"... What foods should you cut back on to avoid hearing this?No one can avoid aging. Still, many people invest time and effort to maintain their youth as much as possible. One of the main factors influencing aging is diet.

 

Experts say, "Rather than looking for medicines that prevent aging, it is more important to avoid foods that cause premature aging." Based on information from American health and medical media outlets such as 'WebMD,' a list of aging-promoting foods to reduce has been compiled.

 

 

☆Margarine

The skin is the largest organ in the body, and all the food we consume affects the skin. Most margarine, especially solid margarine, contains trans fats. These increase bad cholesterol (LDL), decrease good cholesterol (HDL), and cause inflammation throughout the body. Inflammation is associated with heart disease and stroke, and these diseases lead to an aged appearance.

 

Spicy food

Spicy foods can dilate blood vessels and even cause damage. The redness of the nose commonly seen after menopause, known as rosacea, can worsen when consuming spicy foods. Additionally, spicy foods raise body temperature, causing sweating. When sweat mixes with bacteria on the skin, it can lead to rashes and spots.

 

☆Carbonated drinks, energy drinks

The more sugary carbonated drinks and energy drinks you consume, the faster your body's cells age. When sugar combines with bacteria in the mouth, it erodes tooth enamel and creates acids that cause cavities. Another disadvantage includes increased risks of weight gain, stroke, and dementia.

 

 

☆Alcohol

If you have experienced a dry mouth in the morning after drinking alcohol, you will know that alcohol causes dehydration. This significantly affects the skin, which is composed of 63% water. Even if you drink water after drinking alcohol, your body prioritizes supplying moisture to other organs before the skin. When there is a lack of moisture, the skin becomes dry and wrinkles form more easily.

 

Processed meat

Processed meats such as bacon, sausage, and ham undergo preservation processes such as smoking and salting. Sodium and chemical preservatives cause inflammation that damages the body inside and out. A slight inflammation can aid cell healing, but severe inflammation can lead to heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

 

Fried foods = All foods fried in oil promote reactive oxygen species or unstable molecules in cells. This damages other molecules and leads to skin aging.

 

☆Cookies, cakes

Cookies and cakes contain a lot of fats that can clog arteries. They also use a lot of sugar. The more inflammation there is, the higher the risk of arthritis, depression, Alzheimer's, and certain cancers.

 

Charred meat

Frying or grilling meat at high temperatures produces advanced glycation end products (AGEs). When a lot of AGEs form in charred meat, the body becomes prone to inflammation, which can lead to heart disease and diabetes.

 

☆Caffeinated beverages

Caffeine is a diuretic that stimulates the urge to urinate and can cause dehydration. When water is lacking, the skin stops detoxifying. As a result, the skin becomes dry and may develop psoriasis and wrinkles.

 

☆High Fructose Corn Syrup

High-fructose corn syrup, a chemical cousin of sugar, is used in carbonated drinks and fruit beverages. Although it has many health disadvantages, it particularly reduces the ability of copper, which helps in the formation of collagen and elastin that keep the skin healthy.

Seeing your face makes me think of my own age.

I love coffee and cookies that are full of caffeine.

I only ate cake, so why do I look so much older?

Did I eat it?

Should I start reducing coffee now?

    커피 진짜 줄이긴 해야하는데..
    물도 잘 안마시면서 커피는 꼭 마시니..
    튀김음식도 안먹고 싶은데 캐시딜에서 괜히 새우까스 두봉지나 사서 ㅠㅠ

      혈당이 높아서 안먹고 있어요.
