Thoughts on Samsung's Dramatic Settlement and the Performance Bonus Controversy
I recently heard the news that a dramatic agreement was reached at Samsung,
I noticed that the issue of performance bonuses was discussed extensively during that process.
Ordinary people risk their lives to hold on and survive even with just a small job,
It is disheartening to see that an atmosphere seems to be forming among Samsung conglomerate employees where they are expected to receive the annual performance bonus lottery as a matter of course.
Of course, it is only natural that compensation is given based on the company's performance, but,
Looking at society as a whole, the gap is so large that many people feel a sense of relative deprivation.
The conflict surrounding performance bonuses goes beyond simply an internal corporate issue
I feel conflicted because it seems to show a facet of social inequality.
Will such a structure really help create a healthy society in the long run?
Did the labor union form just to demand performance bonuses?
Isn't it created to guarantee the right to survival?
