We have a team of 4 ophthalmologists
There are also many patients visiting.
We all have regular eye exams in our family.
I'm receiving it, and my dad had cataract surgery.
Pre-cataract surgery examinations are performed.
After dilating the pupils through a dilated pupillary test, a slit-lamp examination (a type of microscopic examination that magnifies the eye up to 40x to allow for a detailed examination) is performed to determine the degree and location of lens opacity. Cataracts are broadly classified into anterior subcapsular cataracts, nuclear sclerotic cataracts, and posterior subcapsular cataracts, depending on the location of the opacity confirmed through the examination.
How to perform cataract surgery
This procedure involves creating a small hole in the sclera or sclera of the eye, inserting an ultrasound device into the hole to aspirate the cataractous lens, and then inserting a permanent artificial lens, similar in shape to the original lens, in its place. Just as eyeglass lenses come in various thicknesses and powers, the power of the artificial lens is selected and inserted into the eye to ensure clear vision, whether near or far, depending on the individual's needs.
Post-operative care
Eye drops, such as antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications, are prescribed for 1 to 4 weeks after surgery. During this period, the surgical site heals and vision returns. In some cases, vision may improve further after 4 to 6 weeks with glasses that fit the new eye. If the patient has other conditions besides cataracts, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular disease, glaucoma, or optic nerve damage, vision recovery may be delayed or the surgical results may be unsatisfactory. For about a week after surgery, it is recommended to rest and avoid strenuous physical labor, exercise, or activities that could easily cause dust or foreign bodies to enter the eye. Watching television, reading, or using a computer is permitted. For about 4 weeks after surgery, it is recommended to wear a protective eye patch while sleeping.
I wore glasses for about 40 years, but even after cataract surgery,
You will continue to wear glasses, but the surgery went well.
I can see without any discomfort while wearing glasses
I visit regularly for checkups.
Other body organs are also important, but
Your eyes are an important part, so take good care of them^^
