On Saturday evening, I suddenly developed a low fever and a sore throat.

First, I got a diagnostic kit, confirmed the result was negative, and wore a mask just in case, then went to the church.

While attending Mass, I started feeling increasingly unwell and my stomach started to churn...

In the end, I quietly went out and threw up and came back in, but I was so exhausted that I had to stand still.

I sat down, took deep breaths, and tried to calm myself down, but I managed to attend mass and drive home...

Driving was really so hard...

Is it coronavirus? What is it? Did I catch a cold? All sorts of thoughts were running through my head...

I came home and saw that my fever was 38.2 degrees, so I quickly took some Tylenol and lay down.

The fever didn't go down, and after two hours it finally dropped to 37.3 degrees....

 

Although my condition was not good, I couldn't help but walk 10,000 steps for over 400 days.

Since my fever was gone, I decided to walk slowly around the living room, fill up my steps, wash up, and so on.

Since I took Tylenol, I was told to take a sore throat medicine containing acetaminophen 4 hours later.

(This applies to children, but... I somehow wanted to do it...)

Then I fell asleep and woke up at 3am with a fever of over 38 degrees again.

I quickly took some cough medicine and fell asleep again. When I woke up... I still had a fever at 5 AM...

After suffering until 11 o'clock, I decided that it couldn't be helped and went to a hospital that was open on Sundays....

Is it really that hard to find a hospital open on Sunday?

I barely managed to wake up, wash up, and go to a local cafe to find two hospitals, and one of them didn't answer the phone at all.

I left the kids with my husband and drove alone to visit our clinic in Dajeong-dong...

 

(Even though I was having a hard time with my fever, I thought I should introduce a hospital that was open on Sundays... through Cashdoc's recommendation...

I guess it's gotten a lot better now that I'm writing this, right? Haha)

 

This is Sejong Our Clinic, located on the 5th floor of the 2nd building of the Festival in Dajeong-dong.

It was Sunday so there was plenty of parking...

They say there's a parking crisis on weekdays.

The departments are family medicine, internal medicine, urology, and pediatrics!

There's one pediatric clinic that's open on Sundays and it's always crowded...

Living in Sejong, I never thought of going here....

 

 

When you get off the elevator on the 5th floor and turn left, you will see Sejong Wooriwon like this.

 

The departments are listed on the wall, and you can also see the affiliated hospitals.

You can receive treatment related to ENT, such as nose examination, throat disease, and ear disease.

Pediatric ENT is also a key hospital!

These days, I'm seeing ENT doctors for all my colds and sore throats... Why didn't I think of coming here for pediatrics?

I thought it was fortunate that I found out at least now.

I thought that since the partner hospitals are trustworthy hospitals, I could get treatment there if I wanted to.

Besides, I thought it was my first time at this hospital, but they said there was a record of me coming there in 2019.

Now that I think about it, I remember rushing to get a flu shot in the evening around 2019.

I remember bringing my mom and two kids to get the flu vaccine together!! Haha

Maybe because I arrived 7 minutes before lunch time on Sunday

The waiting room was relatively quiet. People started gathering just before lunchtime ended.

I got tested for coronavirus because the symptoms were similar to those of coronavirus.

I waited in the waiting room, looking around.

 

I'm sitting in a chair with a TV in front of me, and there's a COVID testing area behind me.

I filled out the COVID-19 test application and took the test...

I really put it in so far that it reaches both sides of my nose and down my throat... Oh my~~~

But I feel reassured that the results will come out this way...

No matter what I do at home, it's hard to put it in like this... ㅠ_ㅠ

Fortunately, the results were negative. Since the symptoms were so similar to those of COVID-19, they observed me for 20 minutes.

 

 

When I met with the doctor, he told me about my symptoms and said that they were very similar to those of Corona.

They told me to take the test again at home a day later.

My muscle pain and fever were so bad that I decided to get an IV, so I got some prescription medication and got the IV.

(Fortunately, the test results this morning also came out negative,

The symptoms have improved significantly, so I think it was actually tonsillitis rather than coronavirus.)

 

If you go to the left of the reception desk, there are several IV rooms on either side of the hallway.

There is also a room-type IV room for children.

There is also a bed-type IV room for adults.

The place I was guided to was a bed-type IV room.

 

I had the flu and got an IV, but...

This is the first time I've seen a regular hospital IV room forget about a TV...

Even the nursing hospital I go to every week doesn't have a dedicated IV room like this.

The TV is also a pad-type TV... but here, there's a big TV like this... haha

It felt exactly like a VIP room.

It took about two hours.

The nurses were also very kind and came to check on me from time to time.

It was nice that the sap was administered without causing any pain...

 

Since I get immune shots every week... I don't mind getting intravenous injections anymore...

Maybe it was because I was in so much pain, but after getting it, I stopped by the pharmacy and felt nauseous and had a hard time.

Anyway, on the way back home after getting the shot, my fever went down and my condition returned a bit.

I was lying down at home for a while and then I was able to move around, so I took care of the second child instead of my husband who hadn't been able to wash yet.

You went out again to pick up your son from summer Bible school...

(It would have been nice if I had washed up a little earlier... Fortunately, my condition has improved a little,

I went out there and came back home and passed out.. haha)

 

 

 

Anyway, after getting the sap, I couldn't eat all day.

I managed to cheer myself up by eating a few pieces of fruit, but I had no appetite at all...

I ate some rice wrapped in seaweed in the sun for dinner and took some medicine...

And this morning I definitely felt better.

It wasn't as bad as usual, but I had no trouble going to work.

I went to work and had a good time. Haha
