(Question) Has anyone undergone a Botox resistance cross-test?
My mother has been getting Botox for her frown lines for a long time. Once she started, she continued getting injections because she disliked seeing the wrinkles in the mirror as the effects wore off over time. Recently, however, she is concerned that the effects do not last as long as they used to. It seems she has developed resistance to the Botox. I understand there is a "resistance cross-test" usually used in such cases, but there isn't much information available. How is this test conducted? Is it done by injecting a different type of Botox? Please let me know if anyone has any information. I am also curious if the effect returns if she receives a different type of Botox after developing resistance.
