(Question) Is home care for neck wrinkles the limit? I'm considering getting a procedure.
Lately, I'm really worried about my neck wrinkles whenever I look in the mirror or take photos. I used to only focus on facial care and didn't pay much attention to my neck, but at some point, the horizontal wrinkles on my neck seemed to have gotten deeper.
To be honest, I’ve often felt that celebrities or people around me with deep neck wrinkles look older than their actual age. It was quite a shock to suddenly realize that my neck wrinkles seem to be getting deeper as well. Even on days when my facial skin looks fine, just looking at my neck makes me feel like I look older for some reason, and it’s stressful.
So, I’ve tried a lot of different things to manage my neck wrinkles on my own. First, after reading that high pillows can cause wrinkles by forcing the neck to fold, I completely switched from the high pillow I used to use to a low one. It was uncomfortable at first, but I’ve continued using it because I thought it would be better to keep my neck from folding as much. However, even after using it for a few months, I honestly don't really feel like my neck wrinkles have noticeably faded. It might help with prevention, but it doesn't feel like it improves the wrinkles that have already formed, so I was a little disappointed.
I splurged quite a bit on a neck cream that became famous because celebrity Jung Yu-mi uses it, and I’ve been using it ever since. Since it wasn't exactly cheap, I honestly had high expectations. I applied it morning and evening to my entire neck and collarbone area, massaging it from bottom to top and pressing it firmly with my palms to help with absorption. However, even after using it for a few weeks, I haven't really noticed any dramatic changes. It feels moisturizing, but I don't feel like the deep neck wrinkles themselves are fading yet.
I also tried using a neck mask. I bought and used a product specifically designed for the neck. It is a product that adheres closely to the neck and is applied for a set period of time; immediately after use, it felt slightly moisturized, but I was disappointed because it felt like it returned to its original state after a few days. Aside from temporary hydration, I hardly felt any improvement in the wrinkles themselves.
After trying this much, I’ve started to wonder if home care alone has its limits, so lately I’ve been considering cosmetic procedures. I’ve seen a lot of talk about Rejuran, Skin Botox, Ulthera, fillers, and skin boosters for neck wrinkles, but there are so many types that I don’t know what to choose. I’m also worried that I might just end up spending money without seeing any results.
Has anyone actually received treatment for neck wrinkles? I am curious to know which procedures were most satisfying, as well as the level of pain and how long the results lasted. Conversely, if anyone has seen improvement in neck wrinkles through home care alone, please share your know-how regarding products, lifestyle habits, and massage techniques.
