In particular, vitamin D is effective in preventing growth failure of bones and rickets. Therefore, this medication is used to improve health in these situations.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), and those with kidney diseases. Additionally, those who are allergic to the ingredients in this medication, children under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe symptoms of renal failure should avoid using this drug. During treatment, it is advisable not to take this medication concurrently with phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Women who are receiving medical treatment, are pregnant or possibly pregnant, lactating individuals, and premature infants or young children should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Patients with heart or circulatory problems, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, those on cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, edema may occur, so caution is needed. Long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or urolithiasis, and caution is required when taken with certain diuretics due to the risk of hyperkalemia. It is important to adhere to the correct dosage and avoid consuming tannin-containing teas such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and in a tightly sealed container. It is also important not to transfer the medication to another container to prevent misuse and maintain its quality.
