For the treatment of infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A beta-hemolytic), this medication should be continued for more than 10 days. Precautions

This drug works by binding to certain proteins, obstructing the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, and killing bacteria. Before using this medication, it should definitely not be administered if you have experienced severe allergic reactions or shock to this drug or similar classes of antibiotics in the past. Additionally, patients with a history of allergy to penicillin antibiotics, asthma, or skin rash, who are prone to allergies should use this drug with caution. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, those who have difficulty taking medication orally, elderly patients, and individuals in poor general health require special observation, as vitamin K deficiency symptoms may develop. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis, should also use this medication cautiously. This drug may rarely cause serious allergic reactions, skin diseases, blood abnormalities, or liver or kidney dysfunction, so you should consult a doctor immediately if symptoms appear. Particularly, if sudden fever, shortness of breath, severe rash, abdominal pain, or diarrhea occurs, administration should be stopped immediately and treatment sought. Long-term use of this medication may lead to the development of resistant bacteria, so it is important to confirm susceptibility to the infective bacteria and use it only for the necessary minimum duration. When used with other drugs, there may be interactions, so be sure to inform of any other medications you are taking. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication cautiously as its safety has not been fully established, and consultation with a doctor is required. The efficacy and safety of this medication in children have not been sufficiently confirmed, so consultation with a specialist is advised prior to use. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to decreased bodily function, so dosage adjustments and monitoring are necessary. In case of an overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea may occur, and immediate medical treatment should be obtained.
