This medication is used only for patients who need to take a combination of the two drugs, Amlodipine and Ezetimibe/Atorvastatin. Amlodipine treats hypertension and myocardial ischemia due to stable or variant angina, and helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients with certain coronary heart disease and the risk related to coronary revascularization. The Ezetimibe/Atorvastatin combination primarily assists in lowering total cholesterol, LDL-C, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels, and raising HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary and familial hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it can be effective when used with other lipid-lowering treatments or as an alternative in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Although this drug combination has not been established to reduce cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality, research is still limited for some types of dyslipidemia. Therefore, this medication is used for the treatment of hypertension, angina, and various forms of hypercholesterolemia.
