Individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding can also maintain their health by sufficiently consuming Vitamin D. How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 8 years and older and adults: Take 1 tablet once a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, individuals with sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), and those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to any components of this medication should avoid taking it. Children under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and individuals with severe renal failure should also not use this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance, galactose intolerance, lactose enzyme deficiency, or genetic conditions affecting glucose-galactose absorption should avoid it as well. While taking this medication, it is advisable to avoid taking drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids together. Infants under 1 year, patients currently under medical treatment, children exposed to sunlight and normally eating, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding individuals, premature infants, and infants should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals with heart or circulatory dysfunction, kidney disorders, and hypoalbuminemia, as well as those taking cardiac glycosides and with a history of kidney stones, should also consult with specialists. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing of the face, or irregular heartbeat and skin rashes occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Overdose may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, edema, etc., and long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or nephrolithiasis, so caution is advised. Care should be taken when taking this medication with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as it may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. If accidental overdose occurs or if symptoms do not improve after taking for more than a month, consult a specialist immediately. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and administration. When giving it to children, caregivers should provide guidance and supervision. It is advisable to avoid tea with tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication. This medication should be stored in a place out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place, tightly closed. Do not transfer to another container to maintain quality and avoid misuse.
