Relief of allergy symptoms such as allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and chronic urticaria
This medication is used to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and pruritus. It can also be used in conjunction with hydrocortisone topical preparations for the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. This medication effectively improves the symptoms of these allergic and skin diseases.
Adults: Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg taken orally once daily before bedtime. Patients sensitive to side effects may take 5mg in the morning and evening divided doses. Dosage should be adjusted appropriately based on age and symptoms. For patients with renal impairment, dosage and administration intervals should be adjusted based on creatinine clearance. - Normal (≥80 mL/min): 10 mg once daily - Mild (50-79 mL/min): 10 mg once daily
Children over 6 years: Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg taken orally once daily before bedtime. Children with renal impairment should have the dose adjusted individually based on renal clearance and weight.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to certain components or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. Patients with severely impaired kidney function or children under the age of 6 should not use this medication. This medication should not be administered to patients with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion. It is important not to take this medication with certain other drugs during treatment. For example, it should not be taken with medications that may interact, such as theophylline or ritonavir. Additionally, excessive alcohol should be avoided while taking this medication, as it may increase side effects. Patients with poor kidney or liver function, the elderly, those with epilepsy, or those at risk for seizures should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients who have conditions that cause difficulty urinating should also take precautions when using this medication. Pregnant women should consult a professional before taking this medication, as there is insufficient data on its safety during pregnancy. Lactating women should be cautious when taking this medication, as it may be excreted in breast milk and affect the baby. If severe side effects or abnormal symptoms occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a physician or pharmacist should be consulted. In the case of an overdose, effects on the central nervous system may occur, resulting in confusion, drowsiness, headache, and other symptoms, so caution is needed. During activities such as driving or operating machinery, be aware that this medication may slow reaction times. It is advisable to stop taking this medication a certain period before allergy testing; taking it with food may slow absorption but does not affect effectiveness. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container for safety.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reactions, hypersensitivity shock, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, severe skin adverse reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), systemic severe drowsiness, liver abnormalities (jaundice).

Do not take this medication with theophylline or ritonavir.
Do not take this medication with excessive alcohol.
This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This will help preserve the effectiveness of the medication safely over time.
