How to take

For patients aged 12 years and older: Take 1 tablet once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to women in the first three months of pregnancy or who may become pregnant with a daily intake of Vitamin A exceeding 5,000 IU, as Vitamin A poses a risk of congenital malformations in the fetus. Children, especially those under the age of 6, are at risk of severe poisoning or death if this medication is overdosed, so it must be stored out of reach of children. Patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, kidney disease, or allergies to any of the ingredients in this medication should avoid taking it. Additionally, infants under 12 months of age, those with hyperkalemia, patients with hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis, non-iron deficiency anemia patients, kidney stone patients, and those with severe renal failure should also avoid taking this medication. This medication contains lactose; therefore, individuals with galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Avoid concomitant use of phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline, antacids, and levodopa while taking this medication. Before taking it, patients under 1 year of age, patients receiving medical treatment, children who receive plenty of sunlight, patients with oxalate excretion, pregnant women, lactating women, premature infants, patients with gastrointestinal disorders, those with heart and kidney dysfunction, patients with hypoproteinemia, alkalosis, gout, and those with a history of kidney stones should consult a physician or pharmacist. If any unusual symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin itching, rashes, diarrhea, abdominal pain, hives, or coma occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Especially in women taking oral contraceptives or with a tendency for thrombosis, caution is needed as the intake of Vitamin E may increase the risk of thrombosis. Prolonged high-dose intake may cause side effects such as sensory neuropathy, hematologic abnormalities, peptic ulcers, liver damage, and hyperuricemia; thus, the prescribed dosage and duration must be strictly followed. When administering this medication to children, parental guidance and supervision are necessary, and since Vitamin A can be sufficiently supplied through a normal diet, the supplementary treatment dosage should not exceed 5,000 IU. It’s advisable to avoid consuming teas containing tannins, such as green tea and black tea, during treatment and to inform the healthcare provider about the medication when undergoing urine tests. Finally, store this medication in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and not transferring it to another container.
