This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control even with the use of amlodipine and valsartan combination therapy and who also require atorvastatin. The amlodipine/valsartan combination is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and effectively controls blood pressure. Atorvastatin is used for the treatment of patients at risk of cardiovascular disease or with dyslipidemia. It particularly helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, vascular surgeries, and angina, and is effective in improving various types of dyslipidemia. Therefore, this medication is used to improve cardiovascular health in patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia.
