This medication is used to treat symptoms of vasomotor and allergic rhinitis, as well as rhinitis caused by colds. It alleviates symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose, helping patients to have a more comfortable daily life. It reduces discomfort from rhinitis, ensuring smoother breathing and improving quality of life. It effectively helps in treating such rhinitis symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

1 capsule once daily, or in severe cases, 1 capsule twice daily. The duration of treatment should only be prolonged in severe cases, and in general, without a doctor's instruction, treatment for vasomotor or allergic rhinitis should not exceed 10 days, and for rhinitis associated with a cold, it should not exceed 3 days.

Children's dosage

Adolescents aged 12 years and older: 1 capsule once daily.

Precautions

This medication contains the component pseudoephedrine and may rarely cause severe skin reactions. If fever, rash, or small blisters appear on the skin, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical attention should be sought. Patients with a known allergy to this medication or those with specific conditions such as glaucoma, severe hypertension, hyperthyroidism, heart disease, or serious liver or kidney issues should not use this drug. Children under 12 years of age, pregnant or nursing women, and patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should also refrain from taking this medication. Patients with a history of hypertension, diabetes, prostatic hyperplasia, liver conditions, or seniors over 60 years old should use this medication with extra caution and consult their doctor for appropriate action. Although this medication often does not cause drowsiness, care should be taken when driving or operating dangerous machinery by checking one’s reaction upon first use. Additionally, this medication can increase the risk of side effects when taken with specific antibiotics or antifungal agents due to elevated drug concentration, so any other medications being taken should be disclosed to healthcare professionals. If pregnant or nursing, it is safest to suspend breastfeeding during the use of this medication. In cases of overdose, immediate medical attention should be sought, including gastric lavage and assessment of overall health status, particularly heart condition. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container is not advisable as it may compromise quality.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), fever, erythema, severe skin reactions resembling multiple small pustules, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, anaphylactic shock, severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome.
