This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure even with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine, as well as for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. The telmisartan/amlodipine combination effectively lowers blood pressure to help treat hypertension. Rosuvastatin calcium is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy in primary and familial hypercholesterolemia, mixed hyperlipidemia, and dysbetalipoproteinemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, thereby delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, helping to decrease the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization procedures. Therefore, this medication is used to improve blood pressure and blood lipid levels to enhance cardiovascular health.
