This medication helps in the treatment of cholesterol gallstones and is used to improve liver function deterioration due to primary biliary cirrhosis. It is also useful for enhancing liver function in patients with chronic hepatitis C. It supports overall liver health, alleviating symptoms and improving the quality of life for patients.
1. Cholesterol gallstones: 200-250 milligrams orally, 3 times a day. 2. Primary biliary cirrhosis: 200-300 milligrams orally with meals, 3 times a day. 3. Chronic hepatitis C: 200 milligrams orally, 3 times a day, and may increase to 300 milligrams orally, 3 times a day if necessary.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to certain ingredients. Additionally, if there are serious liver or bile duct diseases such as severe biliary obstruction or fulminant hepatitis, this medication may worsen symptoms, so it should be avoided. It is safe for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children to avoid taking this medication. Patients with kidney disease or inflammatory bowel diseases such as peptic ulcers or Crohn's disease should definitely consult with a professional before taking this medication.
