Sagtoglipton 25 mg (Sitagliptin Hydrochloride Monohydrate)

Adult dose

The standard dosage is 100 mg once daily, either as monotherapy or in combination therapy. The maximum daily dosage is 100 mg. It can be taken regardless of meal times. Dosage adjustments for patients with renal impairment: - Mild renal impairment (eGFR 60–90 mL/min/1.73 m²): No dosage adjustment required. - Moderate renal impairment (eGFR 45–60 mL/min/1.73 m²): No dosage adjustment required. - Moderate renal impairment (eGFR 30–45 mL/min/1.73 m²): Administer 50 mg once daily. - Severe renal impairment (eGFR 15–30 mL/min/1.73 m²) or end-stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis (eGFR < 15 mL/min/1.73 m²): Administer 25 mg once daily. This medication can be taken regardless of the timing of dialysis.

This medication may cause allergic reactions; if symptoms such as skin rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or lips appear after use, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor. Serious pancreatic inflammation, known as acute pancreatitis, may occur during the use of this medication. Notify healthcare personnel immediately if you experience abdominal pain, vomiting, or severe abdominal discomfort. This medication should not be used by patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis, nor by individuals allergic to this medication or its components. Patients with decreased kidney function may require dosage adjustments due to delayed excretion of this medication, and kidney function should be regularly monitored before and during treatment. During treatment, symptoms similar to colds such as headache, indigestion, diarrhea, and others may occur. If these symptoms persist or worsen, consult with healthcare personnel. If taken with insulin or sulfonylureas, the risk of hypoglycemia may increase; therefore, blood sugar levels should be checked frequently, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. This medication can cause severe joint pain or blistering skin diseases; report any such symptoms to your doctor immediately. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid using this medication, and safety and efficacy have not been established in children or adolescents under the age of 18. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention, as this medication can be partially eliminated by hemodialysis. This medication has been shown not to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and is considered safe when used as an adjunct to standard treatment.

Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to prevent air or moisture from entering. It should be kept at room temperature, between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
