This medication is used for patients who need to take olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin together. Olmesartan medoxomil is primarily effective for the treatment of essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin helps control hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, serving as an adjunct therapy when dietary changes or exercise are insufficient. It is also effective for the treatment of homozygous and heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and for delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. In patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases, it also helps reduce the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization. Therefore, this medication is used to simultaneously improve hypertension and dyslipidemia and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
