This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms associated with chronic arterial occlusive disease, such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensations. Cilostazol: Typically, adults should take 200 mg orally once a day. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.
This medication may increase heart rate, so patients with angina need to be cautious. It should not be used in patients at high risk of bleeding or those who recently experienced bleeding. It should be avoided in patients with weak heart function, especially those with congestive heart failure. Patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication should refrain from taking it. It is safer for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are nursing not to use this medication. Patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet medications that increase bleeding risk should use it with caution. Women during menstruation should also be cautious due to increased bleeding risk. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function may need to be cautious as they may be affected by the metabolism of this medication. Diabetics may experience bleeding side effects more easily, so they need to be careful. Patients with high blood pressure or arrhythmias should be monitored closely while taking this medication. Symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, palpitations, and mild bleeding may occur during usage, so they should report any unusual symptoms. If severe bleeding, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, pneumonia, or symptoms of heart failure appear, immediately discontinue the medication and consult healthcare professionals. This medication may cause dizziness, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Taking it with food may increase drug concentration and the risk of side effects, so it is advisable to take it on an empty stomach. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid taking this medication as it may affect the fetus or newborn. Children and elderly individuals may require dosage adjustments due to differences in physical function.
