Improvement of symptoms and urinary flow in benign prostatic hyperplasia, reduction in the need for surgery
This medication helps improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. In particular, it helps regress the enlarged prostate, smooths urinary flow, and reduces the frequency of acute urinary retention. Additionally, it contributes to decreasing the need for surgeries such as prostatectomy, thereby aiding patients in leading a more comfortable daily life. Therefore, this medication is used for the improvement of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
As Finasteride, administer 5 mg orally once daily, regardless of meals. Even if symptoms improve, a minimum treatment duration of 6 months is necessary.
