How to take

Adult dose

For adults with severe infections and respiratory infections, take 2 tablets per dose, twice a day at 12-hour intervals orally.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to its components or beta-lactam antibiotics. Special caution is required for patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia due to a higher risk of rashes. Patients with liver function issues should use this medication cautiously as liver dysfunction may reoccur. Patients with impaired liver function need to be careful as this drug may worsen liver function. For patients with moderate to severe renal impairment, dosage intervals should be adjusted due to elevated drug concentrations. Patients with allergic conditions or frequent allergic symptoms like bronchial asthma should exercise caution when taking this medication. Patients who have difficulty with oral intake, elderly patients, or those in poor health should be monitored for the risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea may not absorb the drug properly. This medication may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting in the gastrointestinal system, and in severe cases, pseudomembranous colitis may occur. If any abnormal symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Liver dysfunction may rarely occur, especially in patients over 60 years old or males, so regular liver function tests are necessary. Allergic reactions can manifest as skin rashes, itching, and in severe cases, serious skin diseases such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis may occur. Should these symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical guidance followed. Blood system abnormalities including leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia may occur rarely, requiring careful observation for unusual symptoms. Central nervous system effects may lead to rare symptoms such as anxiety, drowsiness, and seizures, necessitating immediate notification if such symptoms appear. Renal function may worsen, thus renal function should be regularly monitored, and dosing should be discontinued if abnormalities occur. Long-term use of this medication may lead to resistant bacteria, so it's important to use it for the necessary duration only. If severe diarrhea or abdominal cramps occur during or after antibiotic use, there may be a possibility of pseudomembranous colitis, necessitating immediate consultation with medical personnel. There may be drug interactions, so any concurrent medications must be disclosed, particularly with anticoagulants or certain antibiotics, requiring caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid using this medication especially during the first three months of pregnancy; lactating mothers should also be cautious as side effects may occur in infants. This medication is not recommended for children under 12 years old or weighing less than 40kg. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to decreased body function; therefore, dosing and intervals should be adjusted accordingly and used cautiously. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain may present, and in severe cases, renal failure or seizures may occur, requiring immediate notification of medical personnel and appropriate care.
