This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain ranging from moderate to severe.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 2 tablets as the initial dose. Subsequent doses should be spaced at least 12 hours apart, and do not exceed 8 tablets in one day. Regular monitoring should be conducted if long-term administration is necessary. Elderly patients typically receive the standard adult dose, but those over 75 years old should be given at least a 12-hour interval between doses.

Precautions

This medication can put strain on the liver, so individuals who consume more than a certain amount of alcohol per day should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If a rash or severe allergic reaction occurs while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. The ingredients in this medication may trigger seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or those at high risk for seizures should exercise caution. Severe allergic reactions may occasionally occur while taking this medication, so symptoms should be reported immediately to medical personnel. For patients with acute asthma, this medication may inhibit breathing, so it must be administered in a facility equipped with medical apparatus. Taking this medication along with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma, hence concomitant use should be avoided. Patients with head injuries or elevated intracranial pressure should be cautious, as respiratory depression from this medication may worsen symptoms. Patients with poor liver function should consult with medical personnel before taking this medication, as its ingredients may put additional stress on the liver. Patients with specific genetic traits may experience faster metabolism of this medication's ingredients, increasing the risk of respiratory depression, so caution is warranted. This medication should not be given to children under 12 years or adolescents under 18 years who have certain surgeries, and any adolescents over 12 years who are at risk should be administered cautiously. This medication may rarely lower sodium levels in the body; therefore, elderly patients or those with risk factors should undergo regular status checks. Individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication or those with certain CNS drug addictions, severe respiratory depression, or head injuries should not take this medication. Pregnant or nursing women should consult with a doctor before taking this medication as it may affect the fetus or newborn.
