This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by chronic arterial occlusion, Buerger's disease, peripheral vascular disease due to atherosclerosis, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease. It also helps prevent recurrence after a cerebrovascular accident has occurred. By improving blood circulation, it contributes to alleviating symptoms and reducing the risk of recurrence.

Precautions

This medication may increase heart rate, which could pose a risk of angina symptoms, so careful monitoring for symptoms such as chest pain is necessary. This medication should not be used in patients with bleeding or a high risk of bleeding, including those who have had a recent hemorrhagic stroke or surgery. Patients with congestive heart failure may experience worsened symptoms due to this medication, so administration should be avoided. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or its components, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and nursing mothers should also avoid using this medication. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet drugs, thrombolytics, etc., should use this medication cautiously as the risk of bleeding may increase. Women during menstruation should also be cautious due to the risk of bleeding. Patients with coronary artery stenosis should be cautious when taking this medication as it may excessively increase heart rate and trigger angina. Patients with severely reduced kidney or liver function, those with diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, and those with uncontrolled hypertension should also be closely monitored during administration. Elderly patients with arrhythmias or structural heart abnormalities may experience issues while using this medication, so caution is needed. Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, palpitations, joint pain, chest discomfort; if severe bleeding or blood abnormalities occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and treatment should be sought. This medication may cause dizziness, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Taking it with food may increase drug concentration and the risk of side effects, so it is recommended to take it on an empty stomach and particularly to avoid high-fat meals. This medication is metabolized in the liver, so it may increase blood concentration when combined with drugs that inhibit liver metabolic enzymes, indicating a need for dose adjustments or caution. When used with other blood-pressure-lowering medications, hypotension or tachycardia may occur, requiring caution. Pregnant and nursing women should not take this medication, and women who could become pregnant should ensure it is safe before taking it. Safety for children or infants has not been established, so its use should be avoided. Elderly patients may experience reduced physical function; therefore, dosage adjustment or careful administration should be considered. In case of overdose, symptoms like headache, diarrhea, hypotension, rapid heart rate, or cardiac arrhythmias may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. Any unusual signs such as bleeding symptoms, blood abnormalities, or heart symptoms during the use of this medication should be reported to healthcare professionals promptly.
