How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 years and older: Take 2 capsules 3 times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Child dose

Aged 8 to under 15 years: Take 1 capsule 3 times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult with a doctor or pharmacist. During use of this medication, serious skin rashes or blisters may occur, and if these symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped immediately. This medication contains acetaminophen, so it is important not to exceed 4,000 mg in one day and it should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Those who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, have a history of asthma, infants under 3 months old, or are taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take it. It is safest not to take this medication with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergic conditions, or individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases must consult a healthcare professional before use. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication except in special cases, and when given to children, parental supervision is required. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and duration, avoid prolonged use, and avoid alcohol during treatment. Drowsiness may occur during use; thus, driving or operating machinery should be avoided, and caution is needed regarding drug interactions when taking with certain medications. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and it should not be transferred to other containers.

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → shock (anaphylactic) symptoms
  • Severe rash with high fever, blistering, peeling skin, pain in mouth/eye mucosa → Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis
  • Asthma attack
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), feeling extremely lethargic → liver dysfunction
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough accompanied by fever

Mild side effects

Itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA), rash, redness

This medication should not be taken with MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antiparkinsonian drugs, etc.), cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take this medication within 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitors.
