Treatment of male pattern baldness
This medicine is used for the treatment of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in adult men, particularly those aged between 18 and 41. Male pattern baldness is a condition characterized by hair loss due to genetic factors and hormonal changes, helping to normalize the hair growth cycle and slow down the progression of hair loss. With regular use, it can help promote healthier hair growth and improve hair loss. Continuous consultation and observation are required during the treatment process, aiming to maintain a normal scalp condition. Through this treatment, it contributes to alleviating hair loss symptoms and restoring hair health.
Typically, 1 mg of finasteride is administered orally once daily, irrespective of meals. Generally, it takes at least 3 months of continuous usage to see a treatment effect, and it is recommended to continue taking it to maintain treatment efficacy. The duration of treatment and efficacy should be evaluated continuously. If treatment is discontinued, the beneficial effects will fade within 12 months.
This medication should not be used by children or women. In particular, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid touching broken pieces of this medication. This medication is used to treat male pattern baldness or benign prostatic hyperplasia and works by inhibiting the production of dihydrotestosterone, a type of male hormone. Mood changes or depression may occur during use, so if feelings of depression or suicidal thoughts arise, you should consult medical personnel immediately. Additionally, this medication may affect sexual function, potentially causing decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, or ejaculation disorders, and you should consult a doctor if these symptoms occur. Patients with liver dysfunction should use this medication cautiously, and it should not be administered to patients with certain genetic issues such as lactose intolerance. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid taking or touching this medication, as exposure during pregnancy may cause abnormalities in the development of male fetus genitalia. This medication may lower prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in blood tests, so caution is required in interpreting test results. No specific antidote exists for overdose; however, no serious adverse reactions have been reported even with high-dose administration in clinical trials. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and you should avoid transferring it to other containers as this may lead to quality degradation or accidents. Interactions with other medications are minimal; however, it is advisable to consult a professional if unusual symptoms occur.
