Use this medication with caution in children and the elderly, especially in the elderly with reduced kidney function, as dosage adjustments and regular kidney function tests are necessary. Overdosing may cause hypoglycemia or lactic acidosis, so if symptoms are suspected, one should visit a medical institution immediately for appropriate treatment. While taking this medication, it is important to maintain regular meals and exercise, receive regular blood sugar and kidney function tests, and avoid alcohol consumption.
