Temporary relief of pain from hemorrhoids and minor burns
This medicine is used to temporarily relieve pain caused by hemorrhoids as well as pain from minor burns, cuts, or puncture wounds.
Apply an appropriate amount as needed based on symptoms. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 20g (1,000mg of lidocaine).
This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics or in infected areas. Caution should be exercised when applying to areas with wounds or septic conditions, and attention is required for patients with epilepsy or poor cardiac function. This medication contains propylene glycol, so those allergic to this ingredient should use it cautiously. If symptoms such as drops in blood pressure, facial pallor, or irregular pulse occur during use, the treatment must be stopped immediately and medical attention sought. Additionally, central nervous system symptoms such as tremors or seizures may occur, so if these symptoms appear, usage should be discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. Symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, or loss of consciousness may also occur, necessitating careful observation. Cardiac function can be affected, leading to serious problems such as bradycardia or cardiac arrest, so caution is advised. If skin irritation or allergic reactions occur, use should be discontinued. This medication should only be applied to areas with mild symptoms, and long-term use should be avoided. Since it contains benzoic acid, it may cause irritation to the skin, eyes, or mucous membranes, so caution is needed. Caution is necessary when used in conjunction with antiarrhythmics as side effects may be exacerbated. During pregnancy, where safety has not been established, it should only be used when necessary, and during breastfeeding, it is known to pose minimal risk to the baby, but should be used cautiously. Lastly, this medication should not be used for eye treatments.
