This medication is used for respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis where sputum expulsion is difficult.

How to take

Adult dose

Acute disease: 200 mg once, three times a day Chronic disease: 200 mg once, two times a day

Child dose

Acute disease (ages 6-14): 200 mg once, twice a day Chronic disease (ages 6-14): 100 mg once, three times a day Cystic fibrosis (ages 6 and up): 200 mg once, three times a day

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by individuals with an allergy to this medicine or its components. Patients with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum should also avoid taking it. Children under 2 years old should not take this medicine. Additionally, this medicine contains lactose, and patients with genetic diseases who cannot digest lactose should not take it. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant must consult a doctor before taking this medicine, and nursing mothers should also take it cautiously as it is uncertain whether this medicine is released in breast milk. While taking this medicine, be aware that gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, mouth inflammation, heartburn, and diarrhea may occur. allergic reactions such as urticaria, itching, rash, headache, tinnitus, and bronchospasm in asthmatic patients may rarely occur. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeat or high blood pressure may also rarely occur, and very rarely, serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, it is important to stop taking the medicine immediately and consult a professional. When taking this medicine, if taken together with certain oral antibiotics, the effect of the antibiotics may decrease, so it is advisable to take them at least 2 hours apart. Additionally, this medicine's solution should not be mixed with other medications. When storing this medicine, keep it out of reach of children, and if the medicine is removed from its original container and stored in another, it may lead to misuse accidents or deterioration in the quality of the medicine, so it must be stored in the original container. Patients with bronchial asthma or poor respiratory function should consult a doctor before using the inhalation form of this medicine.
