This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms related to chronic arterial occlusive disease, such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensations. It also has the effect of preventing recurrence after a cerebral infarction occurs. Therefore, it is used to enhance vascular health and alleviate symptoms.
Adults should take 200 mg orally once a day. It is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.
This medication may increase heart rate and may lead to symptoms of angina; therefore, symptoms such as chest pain should be monitored carefully. It should not be used in patients with a tendency to bleed or those in a state at high risk of bleeding, and it should not be given to patients with congestive heart failure, as it may exacerbate symptoms. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components, as well as women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should not take this medication. Patients taking medications that increase the risk of bleeding, such as anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, should use this medication cautiously, and women during menstruation should also be cautious due to the risk of bleeding. Patients with heart disease, severely impaired kidney or liver function, diabetes, or those with consistently high blood pressure or arrhythmias should also take this medication carefully. This medication may cause various side effects, including headaches, diarrhea, palpitations, and joint pain, and immediate treatment is necessary if serious bleeding or heart problems occur. Dizziness may occur during use, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, and it is better to take this medication on an empty stomach as food may increase blood concentration and the risk of side effects. This drug is metabolized in the liver, so blood concentrations may change when taken with certain medications, and it is advised not to take it with grapefruit juice. Women who are pregnant or could become pregnant should not use this medication as it may affect the fetus, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if taking this medication. Safety in children or neonates has not been established, so its use is not recommended, and elderly patients may require dosage adjustment as bodily function may decline. In case of overdose, severe headaches, diarrhea, hypotension, tachycardia, and cardiac arrhythmias may occur, requiring immediate medical attention, and this medication may not be removed by dialysis.
