This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness due to chronic arterial occlusion, Buerger's disease, obstructive arteriosclerosis, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease. It is also used to prevent recurrence after cerebral infarction, particularly excluding cardiogenic cerebral embolism. Through these effects, it contributes to smooth blood circulation and improves the patient's quality of life.
For adults, take 200 mg once orally once a day. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.
This medication may increase heart rate and cause symptoms of angina, such as chest pain, so careful observation for these symptoms is necessary. It should not be used in patients with a risk of bleeding or those who have recently had bleeding disorders. Patients with heart failure may experience worsened symptoms when taking this medication, so caution is required. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should avoid taking it. There is an increased risk of bleeding when taken in conjunction with anticoagulants, so patients should consult their physician and have frequent blood tests. Women who are menstruating should also be cautious due to the risk of bleeding, and patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function, diabetes, or hypertension need to be more careful when using this medication. Taking this medication may result in various side effects, including headaches, diarrhea, palpitations, and joint pain, and in severe cases, symptoms like bleeding, heart problems, and pneumonia may occur, so any abnormal symptoms should be reported to a doctor immediately. Caution is advised before driving or operating machinery as dizziness may occur, and taking the medication with food may increase the drug concentration and risk of side effects, so taking it on an empty stomach is recommended. Furthermore, as this medication is metabolized in the liver, interactions may occur when taken with certain drugs, so patients must inform their doctor or pharmacist about any medications being used. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medication as it may affect the fetus or newborn, and children or the elderly may require dosage adjustments due to different physiological functions.
