This medication is effective against various bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Shigella, and Salmonella, and is used for respiratory infections excluding acute bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia. It is also effective for infections of the ear, nose, and throat, bacterial prostatitis, complicated urinary tract infections, gonococcal cervicitis, and urethritis. It is also used for gastrointestinal infections, bile duct infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and osteoarticular infections. This drug is helpful in the treatment of infections in various areas such as gynecological infections, peritonitis, suppurative adenitis, and sebaceous gland inflammation. However, due to the nature of fluoroquinolones, there is a risk of serious adverse reactions, so caution is advised to use it only when no alternative treatment exists for mild diseases. Overall, it is safely and effectively used for the treatment of broad-spectrum bacterial infections.
