This medication should be taken once daily; asthma patients should take it in the evening, while allergy rhinitis patients should determine the dosing time according to their condition. For patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis, take 1 tablet in the evening once daily. This medication should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.

Precautions

This medication is used to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma or allergic rhinitis. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder, should avoid it. Also, individuals allergic to this medication or any of its components should not use it. During treatment, various side effects may occur, such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, fever, and rash; if symptoms are severe or persist, consult a physician. Particularly, such side effects have been reported in children, adolescents, and adult patients, and the rate of side effect occurrence did not significantly change with longer treatment duration. This medication does not have an immediate bronchodilator effect in the case of an acute asthma attack, so separate emergency medication should always be kept and used in emergency situations. Inhaled corticosteroid preparations should not be suddenly discontinued or replaced with this medication; they should be gradually adjusted as advised by a physician. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using such medications while taking this one. This medication may rarely cause severe immune-related adverse reactions such as systemic eosinophilia and vasculitis; therefore, if respiratory symptoms worsen or a skin rash develops, medical help should be sought immediately. There have been very few reports of significant interactions with other medications; however, caution is required when combined with drugs that induce or inhibit certain liver metabolic enzymes. Pregnant or nursing women should only take this medication after consulting a physician, and safety has generally been established in children and the elderly but requires age-related caution. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so general treatment should be received according to the symptoms, and immediate medical attention should be sought if adverse reactions occur. Keep the medication out of reach of children, and since it is sensitive to light, it should be used immediately after preparation and stored carefully. It is important to continue taking this medication consistently to prevent and manage asthma even when symptoms are not present, as per the physician's prescription and instructions. If neuropsychiatric symptoms or adverse reactions occur during treatment, inform a physician immediately, and be prepared to receive emergency treatment if asthma symptoms worsen or acute symptoms develop.
