Precautions

This medication is in ampoule form for injection; glass fragments may mix when opening the container. Therefore, when using, the container should be cut very carefully to avoid glass particles entering. Special caution is required when children or the elderly use this medication. This medication contains components derived from the human placenta. While infections are checked when the placenta is collected, and manufacturing processes are implemented to minimize infection risks, it cannot be completely assured that there are no infections. Therefore, this medication should only be used minimally and strictly when absolutely necessary. Additionally, this medication contains an ingredient called benzyl alcohol, which can cause serious respiratory problems in premature infants. This medication should not be used in patients such as individuals allergic to this medication or any other medications, those suspected of having certain diseases, persons with severe complications other than heart, liver, or kidney issues, individuals with mental disorders, and newborns or premature infants. Patients with allergic constitution should be even more cautious when using this medication. Shock symptoms may appear while using this medication; if such symptoms occur, it should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Moreover, if hypersensitivity reactions such as chills, nausea, fever, or skin rashes occur, the medication should be stopped. Pain or redness may occur at the injection site, and rarely, breast pain or gynecomastia might appear, requiring attention if such symptoms occur. It is crucial to explain to the patient that there is a risk of infection due to placental-derived components when using this medication and to obtain their understanding. When administering by subcutaneous injection, care should be taken to avoid nerves around the injection site; it is also advisable to switch sides rather than injecting repeatedly in the same area. If severe pain or blood reflux occurs during the injection, the needle should be withdrawn immediately, and the injection should be given in another area; this medication must only be administered subcutaneously.
