Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

The combination of amlodipine and olmesartan medoxomil is used when blood pressure control is difficult with monotherapy in patients with essential hypertension. These medications help to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the burden on the cardiovascular system. This helps lower the risk of complications due to high blood pressure and improves overall blood pressure management. Combination therapy allows for complementary action between the two components to assist in effective blood pressure control. Patients can expect optimal treatment effects through consistent use and regular blood pressure monitoring. This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
