How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. For adults, the initial 24-48 hours can allow instillation of 1 drop every hour.

Precautions

This medication is intended for use in the eyes and should not be used by certain individuals. For example, individuals allergic to this medication or pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use it. Additionally, it should not be used by individuals with infectious keratitis or conjunctivitis, glaucoma patients, or those with dry eyes, particularly patients with Sjögren's syndrome. It is also advisable not to use it if there is damage or ulceration to the cornea or if there are viral, bacterial, or fungal infections present. This medication is also not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Some patients may need caution when using this medication. Patients with cardiovascular diseases or hypertension, hyperthyroidism or diabetes, and those taking certain medications should use this medication cautiously. Those with a history of cataract or herpes simplex infections, individuals with dry nasal mucosa, and children or adolescents should take special care. This medication may cause temporary eye irritation. Prolonged use may lead to increased intraocular pressure or redness of the eyes. Rarely, allergic reactions or dermatitis may occur around the eyes, and long-term use may cause cataracts or corneal damage. Additionally, there is a risk of secondary infections in the eyes, so caution is needed. Wound healing may be delayed or swelling may occur, and rarely, problems such as proptosis or vision impairment may arise. Especially in children, systemic side effects such as headaches or insomnia may occur. During the use of this medication, wearing soft contact lenses should be avoided, and long-term use should be limited. If used for more than 2-3 days, regular intraocular pressure examinations and checks for side effects should be carried out. When corneal ulcers persist, the possibility of fungal infections should be considered, and this medication may mask or worsen symptoms of eye infections, requiring caution. Temporary blurring of vision may occur during administration, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. Children and patients taking specific medications are at a higher risk for systemic adverse reactions and should be particularly careful. This medication should not be used in conjunction with drugs that can raise blood pressure, and the risk of systemic side effects may increase when combined with certain antidepressants or CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors. In these cases, careful use under the guidance of a physician is necessary, and signs of side effects should be closely monitored. Safety is not sufficiently established for children, and there is a potential for systemic side effects, so caution is warranted. In case of overdose, there are no known serious side effects, but excessive intake of certain ingredients can cause heart problems or central nervous system depression, so immediate contact with a healthcare institution is necessary. Before use, the solution should be well shaken, and it should be used only for the purpose of instillation in the eyes. Care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the container's opening with the eye, and it is advisable not to share it with others to prevent contamination. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. For quality maintenance, it is safer not to transfer it to another container.
