This medication is used for patients who need to take both amlodipine and atorvastatin together. Amlodipine alleviates symptoms of myocardial ischemia in cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and stable/variant angina, and reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina in patients with coronary artery disease as well as risks related to vascular interventions. Atorvastatin reduces cardiovascular risks associated with myocardial infarction, stroke, vascular interventions, congestive heart failure, and angina; it also helps regulate blood lipid levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. By combining these two medications, it effectively reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and helps improve vascular health.
