Precautions

This medication is used to treat respiratory diseases such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. When taking this medication, abnormal symptoms may occur in the nervous system; if there are any mental changes such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts, inform your doctor immediately. Additionally, the artificial sweetener aspartame contained in this medication breaks down into phenylalanine, so patients with phenylketonuria should not take it. Patients with lactose intolerance should also avoid taking this medication. Do not use this medication as a treatment for acute asthma attacks, and it should be taken consistently as prescribed by your doctor. In case of acute symptoms, a short-acting bronchodilator should be kept and used. If exercise-induced bronchospasm occurs, do not rely on this medication alone and continue to use inhaled beta-agonists as needed. Patients with a hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not use those medications while taking this drug. Possible side effects include fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, and rash; in rare cases, liver function abnormalities, blood anomalies, or severe allergic reactions may occur. If these symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, this medication should only be taken if necessary and after consulting a doctor, and pediatric patients should follow appropriate doses and usage based on their age. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote; immediate medical attention is required, and general symptomatic treatment is necessary. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and care should be taken as transferring it to another container may degrade its quality.
