How to take

Adult dose

1. Preparation of the solution Put 1 packet of this medicine into a container, add an appropriate amount of water to dissolve it, then add more water to fill it to the marked line (approximately 473 mL) and shake well to prepare a homogeneous solution. 2. Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or its components. It should also not be used in patients with suspected or known gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation, gastric stasis, or bowel obstruction. Patients with toxic colitis or toxic megacolon, as well as patients with severe renal impairment, should not be treated with this medication. It is also unsafe for patients who are severely dehydrated, have ascites, or have congestive heart failure. Patients with severely abnormal fluid or serum chemistry values, those with a seizure history, or at high risk for seizures, and those with a risk of arrhythmias should be administered this medication with caution. Patients taking medications that may affect kidney function or those with renal impairment should also be careful. Use cautiously in patients with colonic mucosal ulcers, ischemic colitis, and severe active ulcerative colitis. Patients with impaired vomiting reflex or those prone to aspiration and regurgitation require careful administration as well. This medication may cause diarrhea after administration, so adequate hydration before and after use is necessary. If vomiting or dehydration symptoms occur, electrolyte tests and renal function tests should be conducted, as fluid and electrolyte abnormalities can lead to serious side effects. For patients at risk of seizures, electrolyte imbalances should be corrected, and the medication should be administered with caution. This medication may temporarily increase blood uric acid levels, potentially triggering acute episodes in gout patients, thus caution is needed. Patients at high risk for cardiac arrhythmias may consider an electrocardiogram before administration, and those with diminished renal function require careful hydration and monitoring. As this may cause ulceration of the colonic mucosa, it should be used with caution in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. This medication must be dissolved in the designated amount of water before taking; ingesting it without dissolving it may increase the risks of nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances. For pregnant women, it should only be administered when the diagnostic benefits outweigh the risks, and caution should also be exercised in nursing mothers. Safety and efficacy in children have not been established. Elderly patients may be more susceptible to fluid and electrolyte abnormalities due to potential declines in liver, kidney, and heart function, so caution is needed. Once opened or diluted, it should be taken immediately and kept out of reach of children. Transferring to another container may compromise quality, so it should be avoided.
