Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
This medication is used to effectively lower and control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who are not adequately controlled with either telmisartan or amlodipine monotherapy. This contributes to reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications and maintaining healthy vascular conditions. It is important to take this medication regularly for hypertension management, and it is used to steadily improve blood pressure.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). - 40/5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg of amlodipine or 40 mg of telmisartan. - 80/5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg of amlodipine or this medication 40/5 mg.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age, and its use is not recommended.
This medication can pose a serious risk to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and should not be used during pregnancy. If pregnancy is planned or confirmed, the use of this medication should be immediately discontinued, and other safe treatments should be sought. This medication should not be used in patients with certain conditions, such as severe liver disease, obstructive biliary disease, left ventricular outflow obstruction, severe hypotension, or cardiac shock. Additionally, in diabetic patients with severely reduced kidney function, the combination of this medication with certain drugs should be avoided. Special precautions are required for patients with primary aldosteronism or aortic stenosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Caution should also be exercised when administering to patients with impaired liver function, with dosage adjustments necessary. Patients with gastrointestinal conditions should be aware of the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication. Patients with renal vascular disease may experience increased risk of hypotension or renal failure when taking this medication, and regular blood tests and monitoring are necessary. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to this medication; therefore, it is advisable to start with a lower initial dose and gradually increase it. The risk of side effects such as hypotension, renal failure, and hyperkalemia may increase when this medication is combined with other antihypertensives, so caution is required during combined therapy. Overdosage can result in symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and irregular heart rate, and immediate medical attention should be sought. During the use of this medication, drowsiness or dizziness may occur, so caution is recommended when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Nursing mothers are advised not to take this medication and should consult a healthcare professional if necessary. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been sufficiently established in children and adolescents, hence its use is not recommended. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers. Adherence to the prescribed dosages and consultation with a healthcare professional if adverse reactions occur is essential.
