Improvement in blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of telmisartan or amlodipine.
The recommended dosage is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). The 40/5 mg formulation is administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg amlodipine or 40 mg telmisartan. The 80/5 mg formulation is administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 5 mg amlodipine or this drug 40/5 mg.
The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so its use is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Patients who are allergic to the active ingredients of this drug or similar classes of medications, nursing women, patients with severely impaired liver function, and patients with serious heart conditions should avoid taking this medication. Caution is needed when administering this medication to patients with certain heart valve diseases or liver dysfunction, gastrointestinal diseases, impaired kidney function, or elderly patients, and it should be used carefully under the direction of a physician. This medication may cause dizziness, swelling of the hands and feet, and other symptoms; in rare cases, severe side effects may occur, so patients should consult medical personnel immediately if they experience unusual symptoms. This drug should not be used during pregnancy, and if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued as soon as possible and replaced with another treatment. Patients with dehydration or salt depletion may experience excessively low blood pressure after taking this medication, so it is important to check their condition before taking it and adjust the dosage under a physician's supervision if necessary. Patients with impaired kidney function should regularly monitor potassium levels and kidney function while taking this medication, and special caution is needed when taking it with potassium-rich foods or medications. This medication can interact with other drugs, so patients should inform healthcare providers of any current medications, especially when taking certain heart medications, diuretics, and analgesics. Patients should use caution when driving or operating machinery while taking this medication, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. Elderly patients may react more sensitively to this drug, so it is advised to start at a lower dose and gradually adjust the dosage. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, heart rhythm abnormalities, and dizziness may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children, so its use is not recommended.
Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), difficulty breathing, liver abnormality and jaundice, severe neurological symptoms (severe headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis), reduced urine output, severe edema, elevated blood pressure, angioedema, anaphylactic reactions, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, hepatitis, jaundice, vasculitis, myocardial infarction, ventricular tachycardia, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, interstitial lung disease, acute kidney injury.

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that does not allow light in. Additionally, to maintain the drug's efficacy, it is important to store it at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
