Adult dosage
This medication should be swallowed with water or other liquids and must not be chewed or crushed. Patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets may dissolve this medication in half a cup of still water. After stirring until the tablet is dissolved, it should be taken immediately or within 30 minutes without chewing, and the cup used should be rinsed with half a cup of still water and the rinsing water should be swallowed. The particles floating in water should not be chewed or crushed during ingestion.
Children's dosage
Adolescents aged 12 years and older follow the same dosage as adults. There is no dosing experience with children under 12 years old, so they should not be given this medication.

This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, particularly erosive reflux esophagitis and maintenance therapy to prevent the recurrence of esophagitis. It also helps in the treatment and prevention of recurrence of duodenal and peptic ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. It is effective for the short-term treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and for the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers due to continuous pain medication use. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding from gastric or duodenal ulcers, improving the patients' symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to any of its components. Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), anaphylaxis reaction/shock (severe allergic reaction), severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain (serious skin adverse reactions), difficulty breathing or wheezing, asthma attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy (liver dysfunction), sudden and severe headache, seizures, confusion.

Mild side effects

Headache, dizziness, paresthesia, drowsiness, taste disorder, blurry vision, bronchospasm, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, dry mouth, stomatitis, gastrointestinal candidiasis, pancreatitis, elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis, dermatitis, itching, rash, hair loss, photosensitivity, fractures, arthralgia, myalgia, muscle weakness, interstitial nephritis, gynecomastia, asthenia, increased sweating, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, allergic reactions, and back pain.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Storage

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
