This medication is primarily used to improve cholesterol and lipid levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, particularly heterozygous familial and non-familial, as well as mixed dyslipidemia. It helps to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol, while increasing HDL cholesterol. It is effective in patients at increased risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia and should be taken in conjunction with dietary therapy. Before administration, it is necessary to investigate and treat other secondary causes, and to monitor treatment efficacy through regular lipid tests. This drug supports appropriate dietary therapy and non-pharmacological measures and aids in systematic treatment. Therefore, this medication is used to improve dyslipidemia and reduce the risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease.
